Im no strange for the fascisnation with the game that have been adored by millions all over the world, one nation i could also particularly state is our native Philippines, where you can see and every corner of the streets or backyard a makeshift plyboard with circular steel stuck on it..will start a game..two on two or alone will do. On this thought that sharing this item i have read on some sites and curiousity dictates have watch some clips and highlights on you tube.
Upon watching some games and clips as well as comments, i decided to write a few lines here to express my opinion with the subject. I have been a follower of the one of the most exciting sports game invented. James Naismith was the Canadian physical education instructor who invented basketball in 1891. Back home in the Philippines, basketball fans were in euphoria following and cheering their favorite basketball squad go for the basket with that spherical ball.
The game played through generation produced some legends etched , and adored through times each possess a different identity with their style and decade of their skills above their contemporaries. To name a few, Pete Maravich , Jerry West, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell and the most famous Michael Jordan. Although there were a lot of others which is hard to recall, the road to greatness to excel among the best requires the highest character , which is to lead with passion. To unify a solid team with strong leadership, unselfish leadership. Thats why it is called a team game.
As i watch some videos and clips of the basketball prodigy name "Ricky Rubio", im very much amazed how the kid play the game, some critics will analyze that he will not make it good in the NBA were vast talented individuals were abundant and he will just be like a flash in the pan sensation. I will go for major observation that given due time and more polish with his already brilliant style and game , he will be part of those great players of the game, which might be first from Europe. He had a paradox style on movements, shooting, passing, dribbling which makes him so versatile. Record Stats playing with Russia at age 15 on Under 16 World Championship in a double overtime win with half court shot to send the game into overtime was 51 points, 24 rebounds, 12 steals and 7 assists!
