Engr. Ricardo Umandap is presently at United Arab Emerates working as a Site Engineer at Leighton International, one of the leading contractors and project developers in Asia and the Gulf region and a a subsidiary of Australia’s largest project development and contracting group, the Leighton Group.

He has work on different areas of Civil Engineering for more than 20 years and gained most of the relevant experiences on Civil and Infrastructure works, significant knowledge on Project Management, Consulting and Contracting Organizations.

Within the period of his career, he has developed a sense of pro active approach to work and life. His experiences served as an eye opener accepting the fact that there's no such thing as perfect (no matter how intricate the proposed plan that was establish). He believes that, on life and work, “Flexibility” should always be the key. Acceptance and Optimistic views follows, and who knows that could be the secret of longevity or endurance.

He is a simple and very transparent, family and friends oriented person. He loves to write, read, sing, and travel. It has always been his dream of going to beautiful places and savor the gift of nature. His writings transcends all barriers. He could be inspired by sudden burst of emotions whether its love, anger, frustration, success or the different aspects of life. It is also by this, that he wants to share to friends and others so that it will serve the purpose of learning , experience and wisdom. The advent of technology gave way to the different channels of communication and with blogging, sharing has been so easy and just within the tip of our fingers. He believes that reaching out and sharing knowledge about life and works knows no boundaries and make a difference in each other lives. Things all happens with reasons, reasons to serve its true purpose or meaning and sometimes learning comes in transparency and in good faith.
